SYNOPSIS
(Full Synopsis)
Set in contemporary Seoul, the musical unfolds in a high school setting, where a transfer student becomes entangled in a dramatic love triangle shaped by friendship, rivalry, and hidden truths.
Han-kyung, a naive country girl, moves to Seoul to live with her mother and enrolls in a new school. Struggling to adjust, she unexpectedly attracts the attention of two charismatic and powerful boys: Ban Hae-won and Jung Tae-sung.
Both boys are admired and feared within the school—surrounded by followers and known for their fighting skills—but their interest in Han-kyung sets off a complicated emotional dynamic. Caught between them, Han-kyung is unable to make sense of her feelings.
As relationships deepen, secrets emerge. Tae-sung carries a hidden truth that makes his love for Han-kyung seemingly impossible, while Hae-won gradually learns of this secret, intensifying the emotional tension between the three.
Their intertwined lives lead to a painful yet heartfelt resolution, capturing the intensity, confusion, and vulnerability of youth, where love and identity are still being formed.
PRODUCTION NOTE
The musical is based on the novel by Guiyeoni, which was also adapted into a successful film in 2004. Conceived as a K-pop jukebox musical, the production features songs from first-generation idol groups such as H.O.T., S.E.S., and g.o.d, as well as later-generation artists like TVXQ and Girls' Generation. The work was developed with the intention of appealing to both domestic youth audiences and the broader Asian market during the height of the Korean Wave.
