SYNOPSIS

Set during the Imjin War, the musical unfolds through the lives of ordinary people enduring war while sustaining love, friendship, and devotion to their homeland.

Framed as a youth-oriented historical drama, the work emphasizes the perseverance of common people, invoking the metaphor of wild grass that bends but does not break.

PRODUCTION NOTE

Produced by Hyundai Theater and presented in Seoul as part of its Youth Theatre Series, the musical featured a script by Kim Ji-il, music by Choi Chang-kwon, and direction by Pyo Jae-soon. Introduced as a rock musical, it later returned in revival productions including Chuncheon and KEPCO Arts Pool Center in 2001.
