銀河鐵道之夜

Night on the Galactic Railroad (은하철도의 밤) is a Korean original musical inspired by Kenji Miyazawa’s novel, reframing the story through a visually imaginative, small-cast staging about blindness, friendship, and a mystery-filled cosmic journey. After successful Korean runs, the show was licensed for full Mandarin-language productions in China in 2023.

STORY

Giovanni, a blind student working multiple part-time jobs after his father’s disappearance, is invited by his childhood friend Campanella to the long-awaited Milky Way Festival. A sudden flash of light transports Giovanni onto a mysterious train running through the galaxy, guided by Campanella, now claiming to be the chief conductor. As the train passes through constellation-themed stations, Giovanni encounters strangers, memories, and truths surrounding his father, blurring the line between imagination, dream, and reality.
