SYNOPSIS

(Partial Synopsis)

Set in 1910 Paris, the musical unfolds against the backdrop of political upheaval and the great flood, where the legendary thief Arsène Lupin moves between glamour, danger, and questions about his own identity.

At the center of the story is Lupin, a charismatic and elusive thief known for stealing from the wealthy and powerful while captivating the public with his wit, disguises, and sense of justice. Beneath this dazzling exterior, however, lies a more human and conflicted figure who wrestles with the instability of his many identities.

The musical draws together characters and elements from across the Lupin series into a newly constructed narrative. As jewels disappear and Lupin’s blue rose is left behind, the story follows intrigue, pursuit, romance, betrayal, and reversals in a richly theatrical version of the Lupin world.

PRODUCTION NOTE

Arsène Lupin is a Korean original musical developed as a global project by PMC Production and Interpark Theater. Based on Maurice Leblanc’s long-running Lupin series, the work was promoted as the first musical adaptation of the character in the world. Rather than adapting a single story, it combines selected elements and characters from multiple Lupin texts into a new stage narrative. The production emphasized large-scale visual spectacle, cinematic pacing, and elaborate period staging recreating early twentieth-century Paris.
