兄弟は勇敢だった?!
Brothers Were Brave (형제는 용감했다) is a Korean original musical about two quarreling brothers who return home after their father’s death, only to discover a mysterious inheritance and an unexpected visitor. The show later received a licensed Japanese adaptation produced by Amuse Inc.
ORIGIN
2008, written and lyricized by Jang Yoo-jung, composed by Jang So-young, produced by PMC Production, premiered at PMC Daehakro Free Theater. Developed as a comedy-drama rooted in Korean family dynamics and regional identity, especially the Andong aristocratic lineage. Gained popularity for its fast dialogue, situational humor, and character-driven storytelling.
STORY
Two brothers, Seok-bong and Joo-bong, return to their family home in Andong after three years of estrangement when they receive news of their father’s death. While bickering with each other and clashing with elders, they meet a beautiful woman named Oh Ro-ra, who claims their father left a large inheritance that will go entirely to whoever claims it first. Motivated by greed, rivalry, and romantic interest, the brothers compete to win both the money and Ro-ra’s favor. The musical blends comedy and sentiment as the siblings rediscover family bonds.
