Legendary Little Basketball Team (전설의 리틀 농구단) is a Korean original youth musical that combines coming-of-age drama, sports storytelling, and supernatural fantasy. ORIGIN

Premiered in 2016, developed by Ansan Culture Foundation and later produced by IM Culture and ShowNote. First performed at Ansan Arts Center Starfield Theater, the musical was created as a youth-focused drama blending ghost-story elements with an underdog basketball narrative. The show gradually expanded from regional runs to multiple commercial revivals in Seoul and was recognized at the 7th Yegreen Musical Awards and the 3rd Korean Musical Awards.

STORY

Soo-hyun, an isolated student who believes no one understands him, attempts to end his life but awakens to find three ghosts who have wandered the school for 15 years. They ask him to lend them his body so they can fulfill their final wishes. The ghosts take him to a failing district youth basketball team coached by Jung-woo, whose squad is about to be shut down. As Soo-hyun trains with the team and the ghosts help him play, he begins to confront the value of life, friendship, and second chances. The musical mixes comedy, spectral fantasy, and sports-movie energy with an emotional message about belonging.
