Claire Kwon is a Korean-American actor and singer who graduated from Northwestern University in 2022. She made her Broadway debut later that year as an original swing and Band-Aid in Almost Famous. Kwon subsequently joined Maybe Happy Ending, an American adaptation of a Korean musical set in a future Seoul, initially covering Claire and later serving in several forms of principal-role coverage before taking over the role for designated engagements. Playing a character who shares her name marked both her Broadway principal debut and a particularly close meeting of her Korean-American identity with the production’s Korean setting and origins. Her other work includes Galileo, Life After, and developmental productions of new Asian-American musicals.
