Claire Kwon
Korean Background:
Korean-American
Claire Kwon is a Korean-American actor and singer who graduated from Northwestern University in 2022. She made her Broadway debut later that year as an original swing in Almost Famous. Kwon subsequently joined Maybe Happy Ending, an American adaptation of a Korean musical set in a future Seoul, initially covering Claire and later serving in several forms of principal-role coverage before taking over the role for designated engagements. Playing a character who shares her name marked both her Broadway principal debut and a particularly close meeting of her Korean-American identity with the production’s Korean setting and origins. Her other work includes Galileo, Life After, and developmental productions of new Asian-American musicals.
