Hoon Lee is a Korean-American stage and screen actor whose career encompasses Broadway musicals, plays, television, film, and voice acting. He made his Broadway debut in 2001 as a replacement swing in Urinetown. He subsequently appeared in Flower Drum Song and Pacific Overtures before joining the 2015 revival of The King and I as a replacement King of Siam. Lee has spoken publicly about the limited opportunities historically available to Asian actors as leading men. Beyond Broadway, he received a Theatre World Award for his performance in David Henry Hwang’s Off-Broadway play Yellow Face and became widely known for his screen roles in Banshee and Warrior.
