Jiho Kang is a Seoul-born Korean-American actor and singer who grew up in Seattle. He trained in music from childhood and competed on the Korean television audition program Superstar K 2016 before working as an analyst at the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau while continuing to write songs and perform. Kang made his professional theatrical debut as Lex in the immersive 2017 Off-Broadway production of KPOP. He returned to the same role for the substantially revised Broadway production, making his Broadway debut as an original cast member in 2022. His career connects Korean popular music, Korean-American identity, and American musical theatre through a role he helped develop across both versions of the production.
