Min, born Lee Min-young, is a South Korean singer, dancer, and actor whose career began in the Korean entertainment industry at a young age. After an extended period of training that included time in the United States, she debuted in 2010 as a member of JYP Entertainment’s girl group miss A. The group’s debut single “Bad Girl Good Girl” reached the top of South Korea’s Gaon Digital Chart, establishing Min as a prominent second-generation K-pop performer. She made her Broadway debut in 2022 as Riya, the leader of the fictional girl group RTMIS, in the original cast of KPOP. Like Luna, BoHyung, and Kevin Woo, Min brought direct professional knowledge of Korean idol training and group performance to a musical dramatizing that industry for an American audience.
