Full Synopsis
Charlie lives in a village of dwarfs who mine diamonds for the wealthy. Unlike the others, he still believes in fairy tales and in a legend promising that anyone who kisses a princess and rings the bell on a cliff will become the hero of their own story. Big, an elderly dwarf who once helped rescue Snow White, longs to see her again and deliver a love letter he never sent.
When a royal ball is announced, Charlie and Big ask a witch to transform them into young men of princely height. She warns that they will become dwarfs again unless each receives a princess’s kiss within three days.
At the ball, they encounter Cinderella, Snow White, and the Little Mermaid, all disillusioned with what followed their supposed happy endings. Cinderella’s prince is bankrupt, Snow White’s marriage has failed, and the Little Mermaid still mourns the prince who chose another woman.
Charlie falls in love with the Little Mermaid, although she is no longer a princess and cannot fulfil the spell’s condition. When she tries to return to the sea to die, he stops her and chooses their love over his dream of becoming a fairy-tale hero. To save him, she sacrifices her transformed body and becomes a dwarf herself.
Big reunites with Snow White but hides his true identity. As the deadline approaches, he gives her his old love letter and attempts to ring the legendary bell, only to fall from the cliff.
Charlie and Big eventually return to their original forms. Charlie builds a life with the Little Mermaid in the dwarfs’ village, while Snow White accepts Big as he truly is. Cinderella finds another prince and regains her wealth, but Charlie discovers that becoming the protagonist of his life does not require becoming someone else.

This Version 3.0 run followed PMC Production's April 2016 licensing agreement with Kaixinmahua, one of China's largest commercial theatre companies, which was the musical's first international rights sale. The non-replica deal authorized a full Chinese staging with recreated direction, choreography, costumes, and lighting while retaining the original book and score, and was cited as an early landmark for exporting small-scale Korean originals.
