Origin & Development

Holler If Ya Hear Me is a Broadway jukebox musical built around the songs of Tupac Shakur, with a book by Todd Kreidler. Korea’s OD Company participated in the Broadway production, but the work was not created as a Korean-language musical.

Partial Synopsis

Three friends struggle to survive in a community shaped by violence and inequality. Their loyalties and hopes are tested as personal choices collide with the pressures surrounding them.

Not a Korean musical; included because Chunsoo Shin, South Korean producer and founder of OD Company, was a lead producer of the Broadway production and was involved in its creative development. CJ ENM had earlier been credited as a co-producer of Kinky Boots, but this was the first time a Korean individual held a lead producing credit on Broadway under their own name.
