Summary

In an old record shop outside London, a former rock star, an optimistic traveler, and an aspiring singer facing repeated rejection find comfort and the courage to dream again.

Origin & Development

Created by Korean musical artists as an intimate interactive work, London Record is set in a record shop outside London. The production was developed for close audience contact, and in Seoul it is periodically restaged. Its relaxed format allows food delivery, photography, and real-time interaction with the cast.

The production company explains that London Record was created "to give people the courage to dream again, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic." Its three characters, John, Scarlett, and Sally, are carried by a score that blends pop, rock, and acoustic ballads. In January 2024 the company presented a two-day showcase at The Other Palace Studio in London.
