Developed principally by Seensee Company as an international project, NERO has book and lyrics by Steven Sater and music by Duncan Sheik. The work was conceived for cross-border development rather than emerging from an existing Korean production.
Partial Synopsis
Nero stands at the center of a Roman court shaped by power, art, desire, and political manipulation. As those around him compete to direct the young emperor, his pursuit of artistic and personal freedom collides with the violence of absolute rule.
