SYNOPSIS

(Full Synopsis)

Set in the contemporary Korean pop music industry, the musical unfolds around a talented but invisible singer navigating fame, appearance, and identity.

Kang Han-byul is a gifted vocalist with a powerful voice but is hidden behind the scenes due to her appearance. She secretly sings for a popular but less talented star, living as a “ghost singer” while dreaming of recognition and love.

After enduring humiliation and heartbreak—particularly from her unrequited love for producer Han Sang-jun—she disappears and undergoes extreme physical transformation. Re-emerging as the beautiful singer Jenny, she rises rapidly to fame.
However, her success is built on concealment. As Jenny gains popularity, she struggles with guilt, identity confusion, and the fear of being exposed. Meanwhile, relationships around her shift, revealing jealousy, ambition, and emotional tension.

Ultimately, the story confronts the cost of transformation, questioning societal standards of beauty and the meaning of authenticity, as Han-byul must reconcile her true self with the identity she has constructed.
