Love Rides on Water (사랑은 물이랑 타고) is a Korean original musical comedy created by Seoul City Musical Troupe, combining romance, comedy, and historical setting on a large scale. With an exceptionally large cast, it represents an early large-theatre Korean musical spectacle of the 1980s.
SYNOPSIS

Set during the Qing invasion of Joseon, the musical follows young lovers whose love is tested amid war, resistance, and social upheaval.
Presented as a comic romance, the story centers on a heroine who resists the occupying commander’s demands, preserves her integrity, and ultimately regains her love.
제작 노트
Produced by Seoul City Musical Troupe, the work was staged on a notably large scale with approximately 250 performers, described in contemporary coverage as one of the largest Korean musicals of its time. Script and lyrics were by Park Yong-gu, music and conducting by Choi Chang-kwon, choreography by Moon Il-ji and Kim Gi-in, and direction by Lim Hak-song.
