SYNOPSIS

(Full Synopsis)

Set between 1967 Vietnam and the present, the musical unfolds through a framed narrative that traces a love story torn apart by war and circumstance.

The story begins in the present, where a Korean man approaches Tiana, a celebrated opera singer, with a torn photograph—prompting a return to the past.

In 1967 Vietnam, amidst the chaos of war, the luxurious nightclub “Pearl” stands as a place of music and illusion. There, Jun, a Korean soldier, falls in love with Lin, a talented Vietnamese singer. Initially indifferent, Lin gradually opens her heart to Jun’s sincerity.
However, Lin is also under the patronage of Colonel Grayson, an American officer who intends to bring her to the United States to launch her career. Torn between ambition and love, Lin chooses Jun and decides to follow him to Korea.

Grayson, unable to accept this, manipulates circumstances to send Jun into a dangerous mission. Though Jun survives with the help of Lin’s brother, he is separated from her. Believing Jun to be dead, Lin leaves for America with Grayson.

In the years that follow, Lin gives birth to their daughter, Tiana, who grows into a renowned singer. Decades later, Jun and Tiana meet, and through her, the truth of the past is revealed—bringing closure to a love that was never fulfilled.
