Ashley Park is a Korean-American actor, singer, and dancer whose career spans Broadway, television, film, and Asian-American theatre. She made her Broadway debut in Mamma Mia! in 2014 as a replacement ensemble member and understudy for Ali. Park subsequently originated Tuptim in The King and I, appeared in Sunday in the Park with George, and received a Tony nomination for originating Gretchen Wieners in Mean Girls. Before her screen prominence in Emily in Paris and Joy Ride, she also originated MwE in the immersive Off-Broadway production of KPOP, placing Korean-American identity and the Korean entertainment industry at the center of her stage work.
