Greta Lee is a Korean-American actor whose career began in New York theatre before expanding into internationally recognized film and television work. Born in Los Angeles to South Korean immigrant parents, she studied theatre at Northwestern University and made her Broadway debut in 2007 as a replacement Marcy Park in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. She later returned to Broadway in the 2010 revival of the play La Bête. Lee became widely known through Russian Doll, The Morning Show, and Celine Song’s Past Lives. Her performance in Past Lives, a bilingual story shaped by migration, memory, and Korean diasporic identity, brought particular attention to her connection with Korean culture and the Korean-American experience.
