Ruthie Ann Miles is a Korean-American performer of mixed heritage whose career connects Asian-American theatre, Broadway musicals, and contemporary American drama. Before her Broadway debut, she earned acclaim for portraying Imelda Marcos in the Off-Broadway production of Here Lies Love. Miles made her Broadway debut in 2015 as the original Lady Thiang in Lincoln Center Theater’s revival of The King and I, winning the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. She later appeared as Frieda and Betty in Sunday in the Park with George and returned to Broadway as the Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd.
