Seensee Musical Company's production (written by Eric Woolfson, directed by Lim Young-woong) toured Japan during the 2002 FIFA World Cup season as part of a Korean cultural envoy program presented by the Min-On Concert Association, which covered all production, travel, and accommodation costs (an estimated 2.5 billion KRW). The tour opened at Kanagawa Prefectural Hall in Yokohama before about 1,200 spectators, who called the cast back for five curtain calls, and continued to 13 cities including Tokyo, Nagano, Oita, Fukushima, Shizuoka, Fukuoka, and Hiroshima. Featuring numbers such as 'Time', 'Limelight', 'Games People Play', and 'Eye in the Sky', it was a rare full-scale Korean musical tour of Japan before the commercial Hallyu wave.
