18 Parking
Korea
While public transportation is strongly encouraged, many theaters in Korea provide ample parking spaces with discounted rates for ticket holders, typically covering up to five hours during the show. To avoid long lines at the exit, it is recommended to pay in advance at a kiosk, usually located within the theater premises.
Some theaters, however, discourage driving, as they are situated in high-traffic areas with limited parking. Since most major venues are located near subway stations or bus stops, audiences generally rely on Seoul’s extensive public transit network, which also extends to many theaters outside the capital.

Broadway

Parking garages near Broadway theaters are plentiful, but rates typically range from $30–$50 for just a few hours, depending on location, demand, and whether the spot is reserved in advance. At garages very close to popular Times Square venues, prices can climb to $60 or more.

SpotHero Broadway Parking allows theatergoers to search and book discounted spaces in advance.

Unlike luggage, which can be stored at nearby facilities for under $10, parking in the Broadway district remains limited. Even with discount codes offered by some theaters, spaces are scarce, and advance booking is strongly recommended.

Although a few garages do provide discounts for theater patrons, these offers are not consistent or guaranteed. Because of the high cost and inconvenience, most Broadway audiences rely on New York City’s extensive public transportation network instead of driving.

Eugene O’Neill Theatre (The Book of Mormon)

No onsite parking available. The theatre directs patrons to nearby paid garages, often listed through external services like Bounce, with advance booking recommended due to high demand.

Minskoff Theatre (The Lion King)

Gershwin Theatre (Wicked)

Imperial Theatre

Does not offer dedicated parking or discounts but notes the availability of multiple paid garages in the Times Square area. Patrons are strongly encouraged to use public transportation whenever possible.
