24 Convenient Accommodation

Korea

If you are combining musical theater with other activities, there are plenty of accommodations across Seoul to suit your needs. In addition to hotels, you can consider short-term rental and lodging services like Airbnb, 33m2, LiveAnywhere, Wehome, KOZAZA, Homestay Korea, and LetStay, which offer a variety of options ranging from modern apartments to traditional Korean hanoks. These platforms provide flexible stays and cater to diverse preferences, making them a convenient choice for both locals and international visitors.

Metropolitan Seoul is highly connected via Seoul Metro subways and buses, both of which offer free Wi-Fi, allowing you to stay online while navigating the city. Taxis can easily be booked through apps designed for foreigners, such as Uber and Kakao T. Kakao T is particularly popular and offers an English interface, making it easy for international travelers to use. Additionally, services like Kakao Mobility's k.ride app provide live translation features for smoother communication between drivers and passengers. For those who prefer spontaneity, taxis can also be hailed directly on the street.

If you are planning a dedicated musical trip, you do not need to stay in one particular neighborhood, since Seoul’s extensive transit system makes nearly any location a practical base. For example, Sindang Station is just 100 yards from Chungmu Art Center and provides direct subway access to venues like Charlotte Theatre and Blue Square by a single ride. Likewise, neighborhoods such as Myeongdong, Gangnam, Insadong, Hongdae, Itaewon, and Dongdaemun all connect easily to theaters by subway or bus. Each area offers its own atmosphere, from vibrant nightlife to cultural landmarks, and all remain within convenient reach of major musical venues.

For more travel planning, the official Visit Korea portal provides additional resources in English, including accommodation guides, transport tips, and cultural highlights. Thanks to Seoul’s reliable public transportation and plentiful taxis, musical enthusiasts can choose lodging in virtually any district and still enjoy smooth access to the city’s thriving theater scene.

Broadway

In New York, accommodations are abundant but strongly shaped by budget. Almost every visitor dreams of staying within walking distance of Times Square, where most Broadway theaters are located. Hotels here offer unmatched convenience for theatergoing, but prices are among the highest in the city.

For travelers seeking more affordable options, nearby neighborhoods like Hell’s Kitchen, the Upper West Side, or Long Island City in Queens provide easier rates while keeping Broadway just a short subway ride away. Some visitors even choose to stay across the Hudson River in New Jersey, where hotel prices are often lower. Daily commutes into Manhattan are straightforward via PATH trains, NJ Transit rail, or buses to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, all of which deliver travelers directly to Midtown near the Theater District.

New York’s extensive transit system and the availability of taxis and ride-hailing services make it possible to reach the Theater District from almost anywhere in the city. Ultimately, while Times Square remains the most popular base for convenience, many visitors choose to stay farther out to balance cost with accessibility — a trade-off that reflects both the appeal and the expense of experiencing Broadway.
